2024 | Palatucci Recognized for Dissertation Excellence

Assistant Research Professor John S. Palatucci, PhD, MPA, CPH, received the 2024 Stuart D. Cook Excellence in Research Award (PhD/DrPH) for excellence in his dissertation and research. Palatucci was also the recipient of the Howard Leventhal Scholarship for Trainees through the Rutgers Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research.

Dr. Palatucci’s dissertation, titled “Health and Health Care Among Historically Institutionalized Populations: Implications for Policy," points to several policy recommendations for improving access to health care and supportive services, including by bolstering access to community mental health centers and integrating primary and behavioral health care.
