About Mr. Brecht

Administrative Staff

Joseph Brecht, MA, is a Communication Coordinator at the Rutgers Center for State Health Policy. He is experienced in digital content creation and strategy and focuses much of his work on managing the Center’s social media presence and engaging with the Center’s experientially diverse stakeholders. Ongoing project work includes promotion of the New Jersey Integrated Population Health Data (iPHD) Project and leadership of the Center’s ongoing website redevelopment project. Mr. Brecht has been recognized for his work by the Rutgers School of Communication and Information (SC&I), with the 2022 Angela DiMartini Distinguished Service Award for his work in the Master of Communication and Media (MCM) program and the New Jersey Communication Association. Prior to joining the Center in 2022, he served as a Program Assistant to Dr. Richard Dool, director of the MCM program at SC&I. He earned his bachelor's degree in political communication from The George Washington University in 2020 and his master’s degree from Rutgers University in 2022.
