This multi-year project supports the goals of the New Jersey Health Initiatives (NJHI- the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's New Jersey grantmaking program) Nursing Workforce Agenda. The nine workforce projects focus on ways to address the pipeline and retention issues for both the nursing and paraprofessional populations. The goals of this project include: an Environmental Scan/Resource Guide which identifies the state policy environment and labor market trends relevant to the NJHI program; Technical Assistance to help grantees establish outcome objectives and document their activities; a Program Assessment that includes 6 month progress surveys as well as a final project evaluation tool; and in-depth Case Studies of selected grantees. During the remaining 2 years of the project, the Center will continue to conduct surveys of the grantees, provide technical assistance and complete the three grantee case studies.
