Evaluation of the NJ FamilyCare Comprehensive 1115 Waiver Demonstration Renewal (“Waiver 3”) Year 1

Building on its longstanding relationship to the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services (DMAHS), Rutgers Center for State Health Policy (CSHP) was selected to serve as the independent evaluator for the Third New Jersey FamilyCare Comprehensive Demonstration. CSHP has been the independent evaluator for New Jersey’s §1115 Demonstrations since 2012. This Demonstration is significantly more expansive and complex than previous iterations, and CSHP will be responsible for evaluating outcomes for each of the Demonstration’s 12 component parts. Thematically, these components encompass new youth programs, maternity-related initiatives, programs facilitating timely access to essential health services for a variety of populations, and long-term services for adults.
