This grant enables the Center to continue to serve New Jersey’s policymakers’ needs and to expand its role in supporting and stimulating sound and creative health policy in the state. The award is being used to extend the Center’s leadership in its well established areas of expertise including access to care and health insurance coverage, long-term services and supports, health system performance improvement, health and long-term care workforce, and population health. As part of its continued service mission to New Jersey, the Center analyzes short-term trends to support policy decision making, identifies and pursues strategic initiatives that are consistent with the state’s health policy agenda, and develops timely data and analyses. Additional activities supported under this grant include: Support for enhancing communications with New Jersey constituencies, including communications/marketing needs assessment with core constituencies, redesign of the Center’s website, and strategic convening and consultation; Responsive analysis that includes quick turn-around analyses for state agencies and legislature. Within this core aim, the Center is also monitoring key trends from multiple data sources, which are being integrated into the Web development and communications strategy more generally.
