Planning a National Initiative to Evaluate Innovations in Nursing Education

CSHP will plan a national program to evaluate and disseminate innovative strategies to increase nursing school teaching capacity as well as promote faculty recruitment and retention. The ultimate goal is to contribute to alleviating the faculty shortage and permit schools to educate more students. Pending approval by the Board of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, this program will award grants to nursing schools or health care organizations which, in collaboration with an evaluation partner, will evaluate existing innovations that have promise for widespread replication.
