Based on surveys of state pharmacy assistance programs, CSHP will produce tracking reports describing the program features such as eligibility rules, consumer costs and reimbursement policies and tracking trends in program expenditures, utilization, and enrollment. In separate reports, CSHP will also investigate selected state drug discount initiatives programs and pooled purchasing efforts. These reports will describe the evolution of these programs, variations in approaches, legal and operational challenges, and perceived effectiveness in reducing costs to consumers and states.
