In partnership with a broad array of organizations and stakeholders, CSHP is providing training, direct technical assistance, information collection and dissemination, resource development, and other assistance to state agencies and other recipients of Systems Change Grants for Community Living from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This technical assistance is designed to assist these states in implementing programs and policies to develop and enhance independent living opportunities in the community for people with disabilities. In 2001, 2002, and 2003, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services awarded CSHP multi-million dollar grants to support states in reforming their long-term services and supports systems.
